Hello! We are a family from Ukraine.

We started our journey in the UK in 2022. During this time, we managed to get a little acquainted with the dynamic and at the same time quiet and peaceful life in Scotland and we really liked it here.

We love to eat delicious food. After getting acquainted with the local cuisine, we realized that the Scots have a large arsenal of wonderful hearty dishes. But we still lacked something so... familiar to us.

This is how the idea came to create The Sushi and The Varenyky (our subdivision for frozen products).

Our goal is to introduce local people to tasty, hearty and nutritious cuisine from overseas - Ukraine.

After all, it is not only quick and convenient to prepare, but also easy to store. On average, it will take you about 10 minutes to prepare yourself breakfast, lunch or dinner without doing practically anything.

Just imagine - you can set the table for a large family or for yourself in just under a quarter of an hour!

And in this case, there may be several dishes on the table, only you decide!

Varenyky

Varenyky is a Ukrainian national dish in the form of boiled unleavened dough and filling inside. Varenyky are one of the symbols of Ukrainian national cuisine, perhaps the most popular Ukrainian dish in all diaspora communities.

Dumplings

Dumplings are a dish made from unleavened dough stuffed with minced meat, prepared from wheat flour, eggs, salt and spices. Distributed among the peoples of the former Soviet Union, including Ukrainian and some other national cuisines of the Finno-Ugric peoples.

Crepes

Crepes are an integral part of almost any Ukrainian feast. These fluffy, fried, juicy swirled works of culinary art are just begging to be devoured. They are so versatile that they can be served as a main course with a hearty filling or as a dessert with a sweet filling.

Chebureky

Chebureky - a pies made of fresh dough with minced meat and hot spices, fried in oil. Cheburek is a traditional dish of the Crimean Tatar and Azov Greek cuisines. One of these can be enough to fill you up.

Khinkali

A Georgian dish from the mountainous regions of Pshavi, Mtiuleti and Khevsureti in Georgia, which has spread to other parts of the Caucasus and throughout the former USSR.

The assortment of sushi rolls as we are accustomed to in Ukraine differs significantly from the Japanese traditional. We like large, juicy rolls with a lot of filling, fatty pieces of fish and less rice. We also have unusual combinations of flavors, but once you try them, you won’t forget them.
